Importing mail from Eudora to Exchange

This is a two step process, however, it is not 100% guaranteed.

This process will work for all versions of Eudora greater than or equal version 3.x .

The first step is to import the mail from Eudora into Outlook Express.

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. In Outlook Express click on File in the menu.

  4. Click on Import, then click on Messages.

  6. Select the first option on the list: Eudora Pro.

  7. Click on Next.

  8. Browse to the Eudora mail box. The default location of your Eudora mail is the following: "C:\Program Files\Qualcomm\Eudora\".

  10. Click on OK to select the directory.

  11. Click on Next.

  12. Select All Folders from the list. Click on Next

  14. Click on Finish.

  16. Close Outlook Express

The second step is to import the mail from Outlook Express into Outlook.

  1. Open Outlook

  2. Click on Import and Export

  4. Select Import Internet E-mail and Addresses.

  6. Click on Next.

  7. Select Outlook Express from the list

    Select the options to import: Mail, Address Book, and Rules.

  9. Click on Next.

  10. Click on Finish. If duplicates are desired, then make sure to select Allow duplicates to be created. You should see the information being imported. When the import is complete you will get an Import Summary box indicating how many messages were imported.

    Close Outlook
