Using Personal Folders in Outlook 2003
In order to archive your Exchange e-mail in Outlook 2003, you must first set up Personal Folders.
Follow the steps below to add Personal Folders to Outlook.
- In Outlook go to the File menu, choose New, then Outlook Data File .
- Click once on Add then click OK.
- Select Office Outlook Personal Folders File (.pst), click OK.
- Type in for file name archive.pst, click OK.
- Click OK, unless you want to Password Protect your Personal Folder. (Note: every time you click on Personal folder you will be prompted to enter in the username and password.)
- You will see the Personal folder you just created in the list, click Close.
Your new Personal folders will now be in the Outlook Folder List.
