Shared Mailbox Configuration: Entourage

Shared Mailbox: Entourage | Shared Mailbox: Mail

Note: all other Mac email clients follow the same basic model: configure as IMAP type account, enter uconn/YourNetID/ResourceID within the Account/User ID field.

Go to the Entourage menu and select the Account Settings command.
Click the New button, then click the Configure account manually button in the lower-left corner of the dialog.
Select IMAP in the list of Account type choices that appears in the New Account dialog.
From the Account Settings dialog that appears, enter the following information: E-mail address SharedMailboxAddress@uconn.edu Account ID uconn/YourNetID/YourResourceID IMAP server exchange.uconn.edu SMTP server smtp.uconn.edu
Click the 'Click here for advanced receiving options' and ensure that This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL) is checked off. Click OK and you're done!
