Setting up Microsoft Entourage 2004 (Service Pack 2)

Configuration for UConn's Central Email Server

Note: Microsoft has discovered that a small proportion of customers who upgrade to Service Pack 2, may experience loss of Exchange email, calendar items, and/or contacts when upgrading to SP2 in Entourage 2004 for the Macintosh. See our webpage describing this issue for more information.

Automatic Configuration
If you are setting up Entourage for the first time, download and run our Entourage Configuration Script.

Manual Configuration
Follow the steps below to configure Entourage manually.

Go to the Entourage menu and select the Account Settings... command.

Click-and-hold the New button and choose the Exchange... option from the list of the account types that appears.

In the Edit Account - Account Settings section enter the following information:

Account Name

exchange.uconn.edu

Name

Your Full Name

E-mail address

first.last@uconn.edu

Account ID

Enter your NetID

Domain uconn
Exchange Server exchange.uconn.edu/exchange/first.last@uconn.edu

This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)

Switch to the Advanced tab and enter the following information:

Public folders server

exchange.uconn.edu

This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)

checked

LDAP server

grove.ad.uconn.edu

This server requires me to log on

checked

Search base

dc=grove,dc=ad,
dc=uconn,dc=edu

Click the OK button and you're done!
